Those of you who have been reading ‘The Black Box’ will see that I regulary use the fictional character Peter Blood alias ‘Captain Blood’. I recently tried making contact with the ‘Sabatini Foundation’ http://www.rafaelsabatini.com/rssindex.html Unforunately the links there are down. However, I now provide the wording and the ethics of the Society.
The Rafael Sabatini Society was established in 2006 to promote the work of one of the last of the great writers of romance and adventure.
Membership in the Society is free and open to anyone with an interest in the writer and his work.
Future projects of the Society include publishing a definitive bibliography of Sabatini’s books and short stories, developing material for reading circles, offering a speakers bureau for interested audiences, and seeking other opportunities for promoting Rafael Sabatini. Indeed, any project that encourages and promotes the work of Rafael Sabatini is welcome.
