‘The Adventures of Michael Fane’. Will be published by Legend Press in time for Christmas 2008. The book was submitted in part to www.youwrite.com which is sponsored by The Arts Council.  It was chosen for free publication, my sincere thanks to Legend Press for this.

The story is not for the feint hearted, as it is based on the Monmouth Rebellion of 1685, which led to ‘The Bloody Assize’. The tale begins in the Courtroom of Judge George Jeffreys at the Taunton Assize. Michael Fane is charged with ‘Murder and High Treason’.  There can only be one of two outcomes: Innocent, or Guilty. If found guilty, Michael faces being hung, drawn and quartered. Unbeknown to Michael, King James II wants a far more painful blood letting and wishes to make an example of him that would deter a further Protestant uprising.  He is aware of the risks of doing so, as lying in wait are the armies of Prince William of Orange. Michael is one of the only people alive who knows what really happened to James Scott, the Duke of Monmouth. King James II cannot risk the truth getting out!

Adventure, battles, and graphic torture as we join Michael and Daniel Defoe, Peter Blood and others in ‘The adventures of Michael Fane’.

You may order the publication on a no obligation basis by simply leaving your e-mail in the reply section.  I will contact all interested persons nearer the time of publication.   Many thanks for visiting.  David

The book has already been highlighted on Radio Cambridge and I will be doing more live interviews during 2009.
